We love to travel and one of our favourite things to do while we are away is sampling the local food, but with today’s harsh economic climate and a severely limited budget, it’s just not plausible to jet off to exotic climates as often as we’d like.

Fortunately we live in London, one of the most richly diverse and cultural cities in the world so we figured if we can’t always reach all four corners of the world, the food can come to us.

From the local chippy to fine cuisine, we aim to bring you honest verdicts, summarised in bite-sized portions and straight from our pockets.  Hopefully there should be something for everyone from budget meals to top-end dining. 

There are three key rules to this blog:

1. No chain restaurants (unless it’s a small family run chain)
2. Only restaurants within the M25 loop circling London
3. No international/fusion restaurants. The restaurant must serve only the food of one particular country or region.
